Removal Procedure
- Remove the front seat assembly. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
- Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
- Remove the seat back trim cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Trim Replacement .
- Remove the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
- Remove the seat back frame. Refer to Front Seat Back Frame Replacement .
- Remove the block (2) from the lower seat frame (1).
- Using a flat-bladed tool, release the retainer in order to remove the shoulder belt adjustment/power actuator assembly.
- Firmly hold the seat back frame (1) in order to pull the shoulder belt adjustment actuator (2) from the seat back frame.
- Remove the power actuator assembly from the seat back frame.
Important: Ensure the electrical connector does not catch on the inner seat back frame during removal of the shoulder belt adjustment/power actuator assembly.
Installation Procedure
- Feed the power actuator assembly wire harness down through the seat back frame.
- Install the shoulder belt adjustment/power actuator assembly (2).
- Carefully apply pressure to the shoulder belt adjustment/power actuator assembly in order to engage the power actuator assembly retainer (3) to the seat back frame (1).
- Install the seat back frame retaining block.
- Ensure the electrical harness is not pinched and moves freely within the block.
- Install the seat back frame. Refer to Front Seat Back Frame Replacement .
- Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
- Install the seat back trim. Refer to Front Seat Back Trim Replacement .
- Install the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
- Install the seat assembly. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
Important: Ensure the holes in the block (2) are aligned with the fastener holes in the seat back frame (1).
