Removal Procedure
Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent
surfaces to help prevent paint damage.
- Remove the headlamp. Refer to
Headlamp Replacement
in Lighting Systems.
- Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
In Bumpers.
- Remove the hood. Refer to
Hood Replacement
.
- Remove the front fender to hood seal. Refer to
Seal Replacement - Fender to Hood
.
- Remove the rear hood seal. Refer to
Hood Rear Seal Replacement
.
- Remove the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to
Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement
.
- Remove the front fender sound insulator. Refer to
Front Fender Insulator Replacement
.
- Remove the rocker panel molding. Refer to
Rocker Panel Molding Replacement
in Exterior Trim.
- Remove the bolts (2)
securing the lower portion of the front fender (1) to the vehicle.
- Remove the bolts (3)
securing the lower rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.
- Remove the fastener (1)
securing the upper rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.
- Remove the fasteners (2)
securing the upper portion of the front fender (1) to the vehicle.
- Remove the front fender (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front fender
to the vehicle.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts (1,
2, 3 and 4) in order to secure the upper portion of the front fender to the
vehicle in the sequence shown.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the bolts (3)
in order to secure the lower rear portion of the front fender (2) to
the vehicle.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the fastener (1)
in order to secure the upper rear portion of the front fender (2) to
the vehicle.
Tighten
Tighten the fastener to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the fasteners (2)
in order to secure the lower front portion of the front fender (1)
to the vehicle.
Tighten
Tighten the fastener to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to

- Install the hood. Refer to

- Install the front fender to hood seal. Refer to

- Install the rear outer hood seal. Refer to
Hood Rear Seal Replacement

- Install the front fender sound insulator. Refer to
Front Fender Insulator Replacement

- Install the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to
Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

- Install the rocker panel molding. Refer to
Rocker Panel Molding Replacement
in Exterior Trim.
- Install the headlamp. Refer to
