Radiator Support SIght Shield/Engine Compartment Upper Filler Panel Material Brittle/Cracked/Torn/Worn (Replace Radiator Support Sight Shield)

Some customers may comment on the condition of the radiator cover/upper filler panel material being cracked/torn/worn or brittle and disintegrates when manually handled.

This condition may be due to the radiator cover being exposed to high ambient temperatures for long periods of time.

Replace the radiator support sight shield/engine compartment upper filler panel. An improved radiator cover was put into production in September, 2003 and is now available from GMSPO. Refer to the replacement procedure in this bulletin.

1. Open the hood.



2. Remove the push-in retainers (2) that secure the upper filler panel (1) to the vehicle.
3. Remove the upper filler panel (1) from the vehicle.
4. Install the new upper filler panel, P/N 25768992, to the vehicle.
5. Install the push-in retainers (2) in order to secure the upper filler panel (1).
6. Close the hood.
