Radio Speaker Amplifier Replacement U57
Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat back. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
- Remove the fasteners retaining the audio amplifier (1).
- Disconnect the audio amplifier
electrical connectors (2) from the audio amplifier (1).
- Remove the audio amplifier (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the audio amplifier (1)
in the vehicle.
- Connect the audio amplifier electrical connectors (2) to
the audio amplifier (1).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the audio amplifier fasteners.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the rear seat back. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
Radio Speaker Amplifier Replacement w/o U57
Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat back.
Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement

Seats.
- Remove the fasteners retaining the radio amplifier (1).
- Disconnect the radio amplifier electrical connectors (2)
from the radio amplifier (1).
- Remove the rear compartment
trim. Refer to
Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement
in Body Rear End.
- Remove the mounting bracket fasteners (2).
- Remove the mounting bracket (1) in order to allow the necessary
clearance to remove the radio amplifier.
- Remove the radio amplifier (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the radio amplifier (1)
to the vehicle.
- Connect the radio amplifier electrical connectors (2) to
the radio amplifier (1).

- Install the mounting bracket fasteners (2).
Tighten
Tighten the mounting bracket fasteners (2) to 9 N·m
(80 lb in).
- Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to
Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement
in Body Rear End.
- Install the rear seat back. Refer to
Rear Seat Back Replacement
in Seats.
