Removal Procedure

    Important: 

       • Do not remove the night vision bracket except for replacement.
       • If the night vision camera is removed or adjusted for any reason, it must be aimed. Refer to Night Vision Camera Aiming .

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  2. Object Number: 547670  Size: SH
  3. Turn the three camera retainers (1) 90 degrees and remove the camera from the mounting bracket.

  4. Object Number: 547664  Size: SH
  5. Remove the fasteners from the night vision camera bracket in order to remove the camera bracket from the hood latch bracket.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the night vision mounting bracket to the hood latch bracket .
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Lower the hood and tighten the night vision mounting fasteners through the grill, in order to ensure the camera is aligned with the center of the grill opening (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the night vision camera mounting fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

    Important: Make sure the retainers are fully turned and in the locked position.

  5. Install the night vision camera to the mounting bracket and turn the retainers (1) 90 degrees.

  6. Object Number: 456008  Size: SH
  7. Connect the electrical connector.
  8. Perform aiming procedure for night vision camera. Refer to Night Vision Camera Aiming .
