🢒 Rocker Panel Molding Replacement
Removal Procedure
Open the front and rear doors.
Remove the fastener securing the front of the rocker panel molding in the front wheel well.
Using a flat-bladed tool gently separate the rear of the rocker panel molding from the vehicle.
Pull the top edge of the rocker panel molding (2) away from the rocker panel (1) to disengage the retainers.
Remove the rocker panel molding (2) from the vehicle.
Clean the old adhesive from the vehicle and the rocker panel molding (if reusing) with 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner 08984 or equivalent.
Using a flat-bladed tool, press the release tab (3) on the lower retainers (2).
Remove the lower retainers (2) from the rocker panel (1).
Installation Procedure
Install the lower retainers (2) on the rocker panel molding (1).
If the molding is being reused, apply new adhesive tape to the molding.
Install the rocker panel molding (1) to the vehicle.
Press the upper retainers (3) into the rocker panel.
Press the lower retainers (2) into the rocker panel.
Apply heavy hand pressure against the rear of the rocker panel molding.
Install the fastener in order to secure the front of the rocker panel molding in the front wheel well.
Tighten
Tighten the fastener until fully driven, seated, but not stripped.
Close the front and rear doors.
