Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .

    5. Caution: This vehicle has energy-absorbing foam blocks for side impact protection. To help avoid personal injury in a collision, foam blocks that are damaged, or removed during repairs must be replaced. Failure to replace foam blocks that are removed can violate federal law.

  5. Remove the push pin that fastens the energy absorber to the door.
  6. Remove the energy absorber.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 512154 Size: SH
  1. Install the energy absorber to the door.
  2. Install the push pin through the inner door securing the energy absorber.
  3. Install the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  4. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  5. Install the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  6. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
