1	Did you review the heated seat operation and perform the necessary inspections?	Go to Step 2	Go to Symptoms - Seats
2	Verify that the Heated Seat Switch Medium Indicator Malfunction complaint is present. Does the medium temperature indicator of the heated seat switch operate as described in the Heated Seats Description and Operation?	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems	Go to Step 3
3	Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. Is the MED temperature indicator always on?	Go to Step 7	Go to Step 4
4	Turn OFF the ignition. Disconnect the heated seat switch harness connector. Connect a 3-amp fused jumper wire from battery positive voltage to the battery terminal of the heated seat switch Probe the medium temperature indicator terminal of the heated seat switch with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground. Does the MED temperature indicator illuminate?	Go to Step 5	Go to Step 9
5	Test the heated seat medium temperature indicator control circuit between the heated seat switch and the door module for a short to battery voltage, a high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 12	Go to Step 6
6	Test the heated seat back only mode indicator control circuit between the heated seat switch and the door module for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 12	Go to Step 8
7	Test the heated seat medium temperature indicator control circuit between the heated seat switch and the door module for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 12	Go to Step 8
8	Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the door control module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 12	Go to Step 10
