Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

    2. Object Number: 493837 Size: SH
  2. Squeeze the tabs on each side of the valet switch (1) in order to release the valet switch from the opening in the I/P storage compartment.

    3. Push the valet switch out of the storage compartment opening.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 493837 Size: SH
  1. Install the valet switch (1) in the opening on the I/P storage compartment.
  2. Push the valet switch (1) firmly in place in order to secure the retaining tabs.
  3. Install the I/P storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console .
