Service VME - Incorrect Paint Code on the Service Parts Identification Label

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

2003 Cadillac Sevilles and Devilles with paint code 88, medium spiral gray, which were built before VIN 3U162980, may have an incorrect paint code on the service parts identification label. The label shows 513F for the paint WA number when it should actually read 812K. The SPID label is located on the bottom side of the spare tire cover in the trunk.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
