Condition
Some customers may comment on a Service Engine Soon (SES) Light/Message displayed. Upon investigation, the technician may find DTC P0731 (Incorrect 1st Gear Ratio) and/or P0732 (Incorrect 2nd Gear Ratio) stored. Diagnosis may not identify the exact cause and the DTC(s) may not be duplicated.
Correction
Reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest software that should address the vehicle sensitivity to an incorrectly set DTC P0731 or P0732.
Calibration Information
The calibrations are electronic calibrations and are NOT available from GMSPO. The calibrations were available beginning with TIS version 1 for 2003 that was broadcast to dealers on 1/11/2003.
