Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2005 🢒 DeVille 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls - 4.6L 🢒 Secondary Air Injection Shutoff Valve Replacement - Bank 2

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 1212010 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the secondary air injection (AIR) shut-off valve.

    3. Object Number: 784721 Size: SH
  3. Loosen and lower the pinch clamp securing the intermediate hose to the AIR shut-off valve.
  4. Disconnect the intermediate hose from the AIR shut-off valve.

    5. Object Number: 1212011 Size: SH
  5. Remove the 2 nuts (1) securing the AIR shut-off valve (2) to the outlet pipe and bracket.

    6. Remove the AIR shut-off valve (2).

    Discard the gasket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1212011 Size: SH
  1. Position the secondary air injection (AIR) shut-off valve (2) with a new outlet pipe gasket to the outlet pipe and bracket.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the 2 nuts (1) securing the AIR shut-off valve (2) to the outlet pipe and bracket.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Connect the intermediate hose to the AIR shut-off valve.

    4. Position the pinch clamp securing the intermediate hose to the AIR shut-off valve.

  4. Connect the electrical connector to the AIR shut-off valve.
  5. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
