Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear sunshade from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Sunshade Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear sunshade control module.

  3. Object Number: 589590  Size: SH
  4. Remove the screw (1) that retains the rear sunshade control module to the rear sunshade assembly.
  5. Slide the rear sunshade control module off of the rear sunshade assembly.

Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the rear sunshade control module on the rear sunshade assembly.

  2. Object Number: 589590  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the screw (1) that retains the rear sunshade module to the rear sunshade assembly.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the sunshade control module screw (1) to 2N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector to the rear sunshade control module.
  6. Install the rear sunshade to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Sunshade Replacement .
