Removal Procedure

  1. Open the fuel filler door.

  2. Object Number: 130888  Size: SH
  3. Remove the fuel filler cap (2).
  4. Remove the fuel filler cap tether (3) from the fuel filler door (1).

  5. Object Number: 130887  Size: SH
  6. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the fuel filler door (2) to the vehicle.
  7. Remove the fuel filler door (2) from the vehicle.

  8. Object Number: 105309  Size: SH
  9. Check the condition of the fuel filler door bumpers (2). If they are damaged, they should be replaced.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105309  Size: SH
  1. If the fuel filler door bumpers (2) are removed, install new fuel filler door bumpers (2).

  2. Object Number: 130887  Size: SH
  3. Install the fuel filler door (2) to the vehicle.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the fasteners (1) in order to secure the fuel filler door (2) to the vehicle.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  7. Install the fuel filler cap tether (3) to the fuel filler door (1).
  8. Install the fuel filler cap (2).
  9. Close the fuel filler door.
  10. Check the fuel filler door for acceptable gap, and finess if required.
