Removal Procedure

    Caution: When you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, you must disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

  1. Remove the door striker. Refer to Door Striker Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the rear side impact inflator module, if equipped. Refer to Rear Seat Body Side Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement in SIR.

    4. Object Number: 105442 Size: SH
  4. Remove the anchor plate (1) from the rear pillar chute.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 105442 Size: SH
  1. Load the anchor plate (1) into the rear pillar chute.
  2. Install the door striker. Refer to Door Striker Replacement .
  3. Install the rear side impact inflator module, if equipped. Refer to Rear Seat Body Side Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement in SIR.
  4. Install the seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement in Seats.
