Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Remove the IP (Instrument Panel) upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .
  2. Remove the IP cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the IP storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement .
  4. Remove the screws securing the right IP accessory trim panel (1) to the IP.

  5. Object Number: 517261  Size: SH
  6. Partially remove the trim panel (1) in order to disconnect the hazard switch electrical connector.
  7. Remove the right accessory trim panel (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector to the hazard switch.

  2. Object Number: 517261  Size: SH
  3. Install the right accessory trim panel (1).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the trim panel screws.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the IP cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
  8. Install the IP storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement .
  9. Install the IP upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .
