GM Service Manual Online
For 1990-2009 cars only

The modular headliner consists of a one-piece composite substrate covered with a foam cloth facing. The construction of the composite substrate does not allow for replacement of the cloth facing and requires that the headlining substrate and cloth be serviced as a complete assembly. The headlining is held in place in the rear by either a magnet or push-in retainers attached to the composite substrate. Additional support is provided in front by the auxiliary sunshades and interior attachments. If equipped with a sunroof, there will be patches of hook and loop material at the front and magnets at the rear of the sunroof opening. If a sunroof locator, such as a magnet, become separated from the sunroof during servicing, obtain a locator repair kit through GM SPO.
