Armrest Replacement Base andDHS

Removal Procedure

  1. Position both front seats to the forward position.
  2. Adjust both front seat recliners to the forward position.

  3. Use a flat bladed tool in order to remove both of the fastener access plugs (1) from the center seat armrest.
  4. Rotate the access plug (1) counterclockwise ¼ turn in order to remove the access plug.

  5. Remove the left and right center seat armrest fasteners (1).
  6. Remove the center seat armrest.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the armrest to the center seat assembly.

  2. Object Number: 577840  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the center seat armrest fasteners (1), both the left and the right.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the armrest fasteners (1) to 2.4 N·m (21 lb in).

  5. Install the left and right fastener access plugs (1) and turn the access plugs ¼ turn clockwise in order to secure the access plug.
  6. Readjust the front seats.
