Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.

  1. This step verifies that the personalization option is active.

  2. Turning ON the headlamps switch in this step eliminates the possibility of the memory function switch finding an alternative path to ground through the illumination circuit.

  3. This step tests the integrity of the memory SET switch signal circuit of the driver door switch assembly. If the fuse in the jumper wire opens when you perform this test, a short to battery voltage may have occurred.

  4. This step tests the integrity of the memory 1 switch signal circuit of the driver door switch assembly. If the fuse in the jumper wire opens when you perform this test, a short to battery voltage may have occurred.

  5. This step tests the integrity of the memory 2 switch signal circuit of the driver door switch assembly. If the fuse in the jumper wire opens when you perform this test, a short to battery voltage may have occurred.
