Turn the ignition ON.

Are the windshield washers always on?

Are the windshield washer wipers always on?

Remove the ACCY 15A fuse #2 in the underhood fuse block.

Are the windshield washers always on?

Go to Step 5

Test the windshield wiper switch signal 2 circuit for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Go to Step 10

Test the windshield washer pump control circuit for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the windshield wiper/washer switch connector.
  2. Test for continuity between the windshield wiper switch signal 2 circuit and the windshield wiper switch accessory voltage supply circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the windshield wiper/washer switch. Refer to Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
