- Install new sealing washers to the evaporator hose and the suction hose.
Refer to
Sealing Washer Replacement
.
- Install the evaporator hose to the accumulator.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the evaporator hose nut to the accumulator.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
- Install the suction hose to the accumulator.
- Install the suction hose nut to the accumulator.
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
Important: Ensure that all the snap fasteners on the accumulator cover are engaged.
- Install the accumulator cover (1) to the accumulator (2).
- Position the evaporator hose (1) to the accumulator cover and
engage the snap clamp (2).
- Recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
