J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

1. Remove the service port cap.
2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
3. Remove the service fitting from the evaporator hose.
4. Remove and discard the O-ring from the evaporator hose. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .

1. Install a new O-ring to the evaporator hose. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
2. Install the service fitting to the evaporator hose.

Tighten
Tighten the fitting to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

3. Recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
4. Leak test the fittings using the J 39400-A .
5. Install the service port cap.
