Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the HVAC Module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 684329  Size: SH
  3. Remove the recirculation housing screws.
  4. Remove the recirculation housing.

  5. Object Number: 292142  Size: SH
  6. Remove the recirculation actuator retaining screws (1).
  7. Remove the electrical connector from the recirculation actuator.

  8. Object Number: 292146  Size: SH
  9. Remove the recirculation actuator.
  10. Remove the door from the housing.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the door into the housing.
  2. Install the recirculation actuator.

  3. Object Number: 292142  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the recirculation actuator screws (1).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  6. Install the electrical connector to the recirculation actuator.
  7. Install the recirculation housing.

  8. Object Number: 684329  Size: SH
  9. Install the recirculation housing screws.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  11. Install the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
  12. Recalibrate the actuators. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Computer/integrating Systems.
