Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right console accessory trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Side Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  2. Object Number: 493725  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the blower resistor (2).
  4. Remove the screws (1) that retain the auxiliary blower motor resistor (2).

  5. Object Number: 493721  Size: SH
  6. Remove the auxiliary blower motor resistor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the auxiliary blower motor resistor .

  2. Object Number: 493725  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the auxiliary blower motor resistor screws (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (13 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector (3) to the auxiliary blower motor resistor (2).
  6. Install the console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Side Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
