The audio system and Driver Information Center (DIC) in your vehicle work with the cellular phone system.
The Driver Information Center (DIC) will display information regarding the phone's status, the activity and the length of a call. The display is located on the instrument panel cluster.
The DIC will display information about the phone's status such as the following:
• | PHONE ON or OFF |
• | PHONE NO HANDSET |
• | PHONE NO SERVICE |
• | PHONE CALL (incoming) |
• | PHONE TIMER XX:XX |
You can adjust the volume level by pressing either the up arrow or the down arrow on the steering wheel volume control or by using the volume knob on the radio. See Cellular Phone System Steering Wheel Controls and "Audio Systems" in the Index of your owner's manual for more information.
The DIC will display activity when you are saying a phone number during voice recognition or when you are calling numbers stored in memory. See Voice Recognition for more information.
The DIC will also display a timer while a call is in progress and during memo record. The timer shows the elapsed time of the call or memo in minutes and seconds. See Recording Memos for more information.
