A distorted or warped rear fascia may appear after the vehicle has been exposed to high ambient temperatures. This condition is more prevalent on darker colors.
The repair of this condition will require replacing the rear fascia and using the service procedure provided in this bulletin.
The purpose of the service procedure is to provide room for the fascia to expand and contract by enlarging the fascia attachment points. This procedure was developed in order to minimize the possibility of the new rear fascia becoming distorted or warped.
Important: When using sand paper in the next step, take care not to cut the material of the new fascia.
