This bulletin is being issued to revise the Brake Component Specifications in the Disc Brakes sub-section of the Service Manual and add a new Caution statement to several procedures. Please replace the current information in the Service Manual with the following information.

The following information has been updated within SI. If you are using a paper version of this Service Manual, please make a reference to this bulletin on the affected page.

A running change was made in the 2005 model year to the front brake rotors and pads. The rotor specifications are different between the first design and second design rotors. The brake rotors and pads cannot be interchanged between the first and second designs.

Disc Brake Component Specifications (Buick LeSabre)

Caution: Two different designs of the front brake rotors and front brake pads are used on this vehicle. Do NOT interchange first design and second design parts, or a loss of braking and personal injury could occur.
