1981 V8-6-4 SER. PARTS SUMMARY USAGE OF SERVICE PROMS, ECMS

1981 V8-6-4 equipped vehicles were produced with two generations of ECM'S. These ECM's and their respective PROM's are not interchangeable as explained in Serviceman Bulletin 81-14. Vehicles must be equipped with the specified ECM, PROM's and other DFI system parts to meet emissions and driveability requirements. The chart below is a summary of present service parts usage as updated to include the PROM changes described in Serviceman Bulletin 82-7 and 82-8. This chart updates the GMWDD Parts Catalog, dated 12/82, and Serviceman Bulletin 81-14.
