INSUFFICIENT HEAT-TORONADO- WITH TEMPMATIC A/C

SOME 1981 AND 1982 TORONADO MODELS WITH TEMPMATIC A/C MAY NOT GENERATE ENOUGH HEAT AND/OR DOES NOT REGULATE AT THE PROPER TEMPERATURE SETTING . SECTION 1C OF THE CHASSIS SERVICE MANUAL OUTLINES ALL OF THE PROCEDURES FOR MAKING THE NECESSARY TEMPERATURE DOOR AND CONTROL ADJUSTMENTS, AS WELL AS THE PROGRAMMER ADJUSTMENTS. PRIOR TO MAKING THE CONTROL LINK ADJUSTMENT, BE SURE TO FIRST CHECK AND ADJUST (IF NEEDED) THE TEMPERATURE DOOR ADJUSTMENT, FIGURE 1C-18, PAGE 1C-10, 1982 CHASSIS SERVICE MANUAL, AND THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENT. THE CONTROL LEVER LINK ADJUSTMENT AT THE ADJUSTING SLOT WILL BE A COUNTERCLOCKWISE BEND AS FAR AS THE LINK WILL ALLOW. (FIG. 1) BEND LINK AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 1C-19, PAGE 1C-11, OF THE 1982 CHASSIS SERVICE MANUAL. THIS CONDITION HAS BEEN CORRECTED ON TORONADO CAR PRODUCTION AND NO ADJUSTMENTS SHOULD BE REQUIRED AFTER VIN E316487.
