DIGITAL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSIS REVISION

1982 DIGITAL CLUSTER DIAGNOSIS REVISIONS

The following items are provided to assist you in diagnosis of 1982 digital clusters.

1. Chart #1 below should be used for diagnosis of the 1982 digital cluster and supersedes the two charts in Figures 8C-41 and 8C-42 on page 8C-27 of the 1982 Service Manual.

2. Figure 8C-40, Diagnosis Chart - Digital Instrument Cluster, on page 8C-26 of the 1982 Service Manual incorrectly references pin H. The two incorrect references to pin H in the chart are in bold print and should be changed to read pin G (fuel sender).

3. Chart #2 is provided for your use in comparing the resistance reading at pin G (fuel sender) with the amount of gallons displayed. If the gallons displayed and resistance are correct according to the chart but the tank is verified as having more or less gallons than the amount displayed, refer to fuel gage diaposis on page 8C-32 of the 1982 Service Manual.
