INTERMEDIATE BAND APPLY PIN SELECTION CHART/325 TRANS.

THE PROCEDURE FOR SELECTING THE PROPER SIZE INTERMEDIATE BAND APPLY PIN GIVEN IN THE 1982 SERVICE MANUAL (PAGE 325-4L-54, "THE INTERMEDIATE SERVO PISTON", STEP 7-C) DOES NOT MAKE REFERENCE TO THE SIZE OF PIN THAT SHOULD BE SELECTED CORRESPONDING TO DIAL INDICATOR TRAVEL. THE CHART BELOW SHOULD BE USED TO SELECT THE PROPER INTERMEDIATE BAND APPLY PIN: 1982 325-4L AND 1981 325 THM INTERMEDIATE BAND APPLY PIN SELECTION CHART DIAL INDICATOR TRAVEL .0-.72MM (.0"-.029") APPLY PIN IDENTIFICATION 1 RING P/N 8632973 DIAL INDICATOR TRAVEL .72MM-1.44MM (.029"-.057") APPLY PIN IDENTIFICATION 2 RINGS P/N 8632974 DIAL INDICATOR TRAVEL 1.44MM-2.16MM (.057"-.086") APPLY PIN IDENTIFICATION 3 RINGS P/N 8632975 DIAL INDICATOR TRAVEL 2.16MM-2.88MM (.086"-.114") APPLY PIN IDENTIFICATION WIDE BAND P/N 8632976 THE ABOVE CHART ALSO APPLIES TO THE 1981 THM 325 TRANSMISSION. THIS CHART, PRINTED AS FIGURE 7B-37, PAGE 7B-24 OF THE 1981 SERVICE MANUAL LISTS AN INCORRECT ENGLISH (INCH) CONVERSION FOR THE DIAL INDICATOR TRAVEL REQUIRING A PIN WITH 2 RINGS. THE DIMENSION INCORRECTLY GIVEN AS .257 INCHES SHOULD BE CHANGED TO .057 INCHES IN YOUR 1981 SERVICE MANUAL. THIS CHANGE IS HIGHLIGHTED IN THE SHADED AREA OF THE ABOVE CHART.
