All time changes, text changes, and new operations are "flagged" with change indicators as described in the Labor Time Guide Foreword (Frame A-3). Dealers should receive this revision by April 19. A midyear revision to the paper Labor Time Guide will also be mailed to all dealers who have subscibed to it.

1985 Serviceman Bulletins and Dealer Service Information Bulletins published through March, 1985, are also included in this microfiche mailing. These microfiche are sceduled to be updated approximately every 3 months throughout the 1985 model year to make them more currrent for dealer use.

Two new labor operations have been added to the 1985 Labor Time Guide for the high-mounted stop light on the 1985 FWD C-car.

- N1285 Lens and/or Gasket, Stop Lamp, High Level-Replace .2 Hour - N1600 Lamp Assembly, Stop High Level-Replace .2 Hour

During the three month period from October through December, we received 42 Request for Review letters. Of these 42 Request for Review letters, 13 resulted in a time allowance "increase", three provided "new operations", seven received some other form of "favorable action" and 19 remained the same. The most active zone was Los Angeles, who submitted 14 of these requests.

The "Honorary Mention Award" goes to Capital Cadillac in Smyrna, Georgia. Their request resulted in the time allowance increase for replacing the In-Tank Fuel Pump on the 1985 FWD C-car. This time allowance increase from .8 hour to 1.2 hour, is included in this (1/85) 1985 Labor Time Guide microfiche revision.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
