With the continuing changes to the new vehicle warranties for 1985 models, we have updated the Cadillac warranty coverage chart which was originally distributed with DSIB 84-I-17 last March. One side lists all the new car coverages from 1979 through 1985 models with a separate column for the 1985 FWD C car due to its distinctive coverages. The reverse side shows the General Motors Service Replacement Parts and Accessories Warranties, including the newly added Ignition Wire Sets, as well as systems covered by the Value Protection Plan Service Agreement.
This information will provide a ready reference to dealer new and used car sales personnel as well as service employes and is essential information for Service Advisors. Three laminated charts are enclosed with this bulletin. A limited supply of extra charts is available from your Cadillac Zone Office.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
