1987 LABOR TIME GUIDE REVISIONS

An April revision to the 1986 and 1987 Labor Time Guide has been published. This revision should reach dealerships by May 1. Change indicators are included showing all new operations and changes made since the last revision. In addition, all new microfiche contain Parts Return codes. If your dealer is not enrolled in the 1987 Parts Return program, please disregard the Parts Return codes printed in the microfiche.

These revisions will be published on paper for those dealers who have subscribed to the "paper" Labor Time Guide. For dealers who are not currently enrotted, the paper Labor Time Guide is ordered on a subscription basis in addition to the microfiche and includes an initial publication, one revision, and a final update. Subscriptions are available (Item H2336P for 1986 and H2436P for 1987) at a cost of $49.00 each from:

During the four month period from December through March, we have received 56 Requests for Review letters which included 50 different Labor Operations. Of these 50 Labor Operations, 23 Time Allowances were increased, 11 new Labor Operations were provided, and 16 requests received some sort of favorable action or remained the same.

Major changes on this microfiche include:

1) An increase in 440-T4 transmission replace time.

2) An increase in Eldorado and Seville transmission overhaul times.

3) The addition of several new Allante - top and paint operations.

In addition, please make the following changes.

o Add Labor Operation T6216 at 2.0 hours for Allante - hard/soft-top adjust. o Add Labor Operation B7320 at .3 hours for De Villes. o Delete Labor Operation B7320 for Broughams. o Delete Labor Operation C2006 for De Villes, Eldorados and Sevilles. o Delete Labor Operation C2007 for all car lines.
