This bulletin outlines information for 1986 De Ville, Eldorado and Seville wire wheel cover and aluminum wheel options. The information is presented in two sections:
Section I: Wire Wheel Cover (Option N91)
Section II: Aluminum Wheel (Option PD8 & PG4)
1. WIRE WHEEL COVERS (N91)
A. Wire Wheel Cover Packages
Wire wheel covers for the 19866 De Ville, Eldorado and Seville are produced by two companies -- I.T.T. Thompson (Figure I) and N.I. Industries (Figure 2).

Wire Wheel Cover Packages are shipped in the trunk of the car and, at the time of new car delivery, these packages should be inspected for missing, damaged, or incorrect parts. Any discrepancies should be noted on the delivery receipt and a transportaion claim should be filed, if necessary.

* These parts come assembled as part of the Wire Wheel Cover Package, but are only available from GMWDD individually using the listed part numbers.
B. Lock Nuts and Lock Key Wrenches
Lock nuts and lock key wrenches for the DeVille, Eldorado and Seville may be produced by either I.T.t. Thompson or N.I. Industries (refer to Figures 1 and 2.) Lock nuts and lock key wrenches are color coded and may be ordered from GMWDD using the following part number information:

C. Wheel Identification and Wire Wheel Cover Installation Procedures
1. Wheel Identification
Vehicles equipped with the wire wheel cover option may use either fabricated aluminum wheels or steel wheels. Fabricated aluminum wheels can be described as having a thicker flange than steel wheels. Additionally, magnets will not be attracted to fabricated aluminum wheels.
2. Wire Wheel Cover Installation Procedures
When installing an I.T.T. ndustries' wire wheel cover (Figure 1) on a steel wheel, the "positioning inserts" must be installed.
When installing an I.T.T. Industries' wire wheel cover on an aluminum wheel the "positioning inserts" should be omitted.
When installing an N.I. Industries' wire wheel cover (Figure 2) on an aluminum wheel or a steel wheel, the "positioning clips" must be in the correct position (Figure 3).
D. Lock Nut Replacement
1. I.T.T. Wheel Cover Lock Nut Replacement Procedure:
Removal
a. Drill out the two rivets on the cover retaining the lock nut, refer Figure 1.
b. Remove lock nut
Installation
a. Position lock nut on cover
b. Position retainer on the cover and install new rivets
2. N.I. Wheel Cover Lock Nut Replacement Procedure:
a. Position lock nut out from the rear of the wheel cover using a drift pin.
Installation
a. Position lock nut under two of the three retaining clips on the wheel cover
b. Press the lock nut under the third clip using a drift pin.
II. ALUMINUM WHEELS (PD8 AND PG4)
A. Aluminum Wheel Parts
The aluminum wheel option includes:

At the time of new car delivery, the vehicle should be inspected for missing, damaged or incorrect aluminum wheel components. Any discrepancies should be noted on the delivery receipt and a transportation claim should be filed, if necessary.
B. Missing Parts
Missing parts can be handled in one of the following manners:
1. Hub Caps Missing
Hub caps can be ordered from GMWDD using the following parts information:
FWD De Ville:
W/14" Wheel 1629618 W/15" Wheel 1631381
Eldorado and Seville 1631381
2. Locking Nuts Missing
Individual locking nuts may be obtained from McGard by submitting a written request on dealership stationery. Include the color code of the lock key and a check for $4.50 for each locking nut requested. These requests should be mailed in the McGard envelopes provided in the McGard/Cadillac Dealership Packet.
3. Lock Key Missing or Incorrect Lock Key
Determine the color code from the ID/Registration Card or by using the McCard Master key set*. Order lock key using the McGard/GM Dealership Order Form, copies of which are included in the McGard/Cadillac Dealership Packet.
*McCard Master keys and McGard/Cadillac Dealership Packets were sent to all dealers in 1979.
4. ID/Registration Card
ID/Registration Cards are available from McGard at no charge using a McGard/GM Dealership Order Form.
5. Instruction Card
If an instruction sheet is missing, a copy can be made from another lock key package or instructions can be found in the Owner's Manual.
C. Dealership Packet and Master Key Sets
Dealers who need a McGard/Cadillac Dealership Packet, and/or a McGard master key set should write or call the following:

Dealers may obtain order forms or pre-paid McGard envelopes by sending a request to McGard on dealership stationery. These written requests must include an authorized signature.
