ELDORADO AND SEVILLE INNER SHIELD REPLACEMENT

WINDSHIELD "INNER SHIELD" REPLACEMENT

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1986-1987 'E' AND 'K' MODELS -----------------

The inner shield windshield, which was previously used on all 1986-1987 'E' and 'K' has been eliminated for these car effective with the start of the 1988 model production. The inner shield was removed to improve customer satisfaction related to damage resistance, cleanability, and decal removal. The inner shield windshield, P/N 20644887, should be used to service 1986-1987 vehicles until current supply of service parts is exhausted. After that point, the 1988 non-inner shield windshield, P/N 20685206, should be used to service all 1986 through 1988 vehicles.
