Some 1989 DeVilles, Fleetwoods, Eldorados, or Sevilles may exhibit a condition of delayed and harsh upshifts. This may be caused by a dragging condition in the TV cable. To repair this condition use the following procedure:
1. Check the TV cable for a severe bend at the transmission end. Refer to Figure 1.
2. Replace the cable if severely bent with P/N l641916, which is currently available from GMSPO.
