The service information for the 1990-1/2 Eldorado Touring Coupe was not included in the 1990 Eldorado/Seville Service Information Manual. The Eldorado Touring Coupe differs in body trim from the base coupe. Most differences involve appearance modifications only (i.e., the service procedures are the same). This bulletin contains body service procedures and/or the part number for both interior and exterior changes. INTRODUCTION

The 1990-1/2 Eldorado Touring Coupe (option YP5) was scheduled for introduction on March 1, 1990. The Touring Coupe is equipped with all base coupe standard equipment in addition to the following:

Electrochromic Inside Rearview Mirror Dual Muffler Outlet with Bright Tail Pipe (same and STS) Anti-Lock Brakes Touring Suspension (same as STS) 16" Diamond - Finish Forged Aluminum Alloy Wheel and P215/60HR Tires with Wreath and Crest Centre Cap 3.33 Final drive transaxle (GX3)

The available exterior colours (5) for the Touring Coupe are:

BODY COLOUR-FRONT/REAR FASCIAS

The Eldorado Touring Coupe body colour front/rear fascias remain unchanged from the base coupe except the rear bumper. The rear bumper contains the rear side marker reflectors and different fascia side mouldings from the base coupe. ROCKER MOULDING WITH BLACK BEAD EDGING

Remove or Disconnect (Refer to Figure 1):

1. Three screws at front wheel opening moulding. 2. Two screws (1) at front end of rocker panel (3). 3. Sill plate. 4. Two screws (1) as in cut-out drawing. 5. One screw through lower hole in tab and rear end cap (2). 6. Ten screws (1). 7. Rocker panel (3).

Install or Connect:

1. Position rocker panel (3). 2. Ten screws (1). 3. Position rear end cap (2). 4. One screw through lower hole in tab. 5. Two screws (1) at front end of rocker panel (3). 6. Sill plate. 7. Two screws (1) at front end of rocker panel (3). 8. Three screws at front wheel opening moulding.

REAR SIDE REFLEX

The factory installed rear side reflex employs the export rear side marker with an empty socket and no bulb. THE WIRING HARNESS FROM THE SOCKET IS CUT AND IT SHOULD NOT BE MISTAKEN BY SERVICE PERSONNEL AS A FUNCTIONAL ITEM. Therefore, it should be regarded as a reflector, not a side marker and serviced as a reflector. For service procedure of rear side reflex, refer to REAR BUMPER (SECTION 10-4).

SIX-WAY POWER SEAT (RECLINE AND LUMBAR)

The Eldorado Touring Coupe seating content (part, operation and service procedure) is identical to the Seville STS AN3 option seating except certain cover assembly changes. The adjuster assembly, motor assembly and component parts remain unchanged from the 1990 Seville STS AN3 seating.
