SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ON THE FRONT FENDER INSULATOR FALLING OUT OF POSITION. THIS RESULTS IN REDUCED ACOUSTICAL DAMPENING OR POOR APPEARANCE.
TO REPAIR THIS CONDITION, PERFORM THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE:
1. RAISE VEHICLE ON HOIST.
2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL.
3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL HOUSE PANEL. REFER TO SECTION 10-5 OF THE SERVICE MANUAL.
4. INSTALL FASTENER, P/N 25628162, ON THE INSULATOR THROUGH THE SECOND SLOT FROM TOP. REFER TO FIGURE 1. SNAP LOOSE END OF THE FASTENER TO THE HEAD OF ADHESIVE ASSEMBLY.
5. REPOSITION FRONT FENDER INSULATOR. CLEAN DIRT AND GREASE FROM THE SURFACE ON FENDER WHERE THE FASTENER WILL BE ADHERED TO.
6. POSITION THE FASTENER TO THE CLEANED AREA OF THE FENDER AND APPLY SLIGHT PRESSURE TO THE HEAD OF THE ADHESIVE ASSEMBLY TO ACTIVATE THE ADHESIVE. REFER TO FIGURE 3.
CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN NOT TO GET ADHESIVE ON SKIN.
7. REPLACE FRONT WHEEL HOUSE PANEL.
8. REPLACE FRONT WHEEL.
9. LOWER VEHICLE ON THE HOIST.
PARTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AVAILABLE ON DECEMBER 5, 1994.
