SUBJECT: INFORMATION ON GOLD KEY NEW MATERIALS RECEIVING AND INSPECTION/TRANSPORTATION CLAIMS PROCEDURES

MODELS: 1998 CADILLAC MODELS

ALL 1998 ELDORADO, DEVILLE, SEVILLE AND CATERA MODELS ARE SHIPPED WITH A SEALED PACKAGE OF GOLD KEY OWNER'S MANUAL PORTFOLIO MATERIALS (IN TRUNK), AS WELL AS THE APPROPRIATE IGNITION/DOOR KEYS.

DEVILLE AND ELDORADO MODELS INCLUDE ONE SET OF GOLD-PLATED KEYS, ONE SET OF NICKEL PLATED KEYS, AND ONE "EMERGENCY-USE" LOCK OUT KEY WITH POUCH SLEEVE. THE SET OF GOLD KEYS AND THE "EMERGENCY USE" LOCK OUT KEY WITH POUCH SLEEVE CAN BE FOUND IN THE GLOVE BOX IN A SEALED PACKAGE MARKED "KEYS". THE SET OF NICKEL PLATED KEYS WILL BE USED BY THE TRANSPORTATION CARRIER DURING DELIVERY. REPLACEMENT KEYS FOR THE DEVILLE AND ELDORADO MODELS MUST BE OBTAINED BY FOLLOWING STEPS 1,2 AND 3 LISTED BELOW.

SEVILLE MODELS INCLUDE TWO SOLID NICKEL SILVER ALLOY IGNITION/DOOR KEYS, TWO NICKEL PLATED VALET IGNITION/DOOR KEYS AND ONE "EMERGENCY USE" LOCK OUT KEY WITH POUCH SLEEVE. ONE NICKEL PLATED VALET IGNITION/ DOOR KEY WILL BE USED BY THE TRANSPORTATION CARRIER DURING DELIVERY WHILE THE REMAINING KEYS WILL BE STORED IN THE GLOVE BOX IN A SEALED PACKAGE MARKED "KEYS". REPLACEMENT KEYS FOR THE SEVILLE MUST BE ORDERED THROUGH SPO USING THE FOLLOWING PART NUMBERS 25674624 FOR THE IGNITION/DOOR KEY, 25674625 FOR THE VALET KEY, AND/OR 25684761 FOR THE EMERGENCY LOCK OUT KEY WITH POUCH SLEEVE.

CATERA MODELS INCLUDE TWO NICKEL PLATED IGNITION/DOOR KEYS AND ONE "EMERGENCY USE" LOCK OUT KEY WITH POUCH SLEEVE. ONE NICKEL IGNITION/ DOOR KEY WILL BE USED BY THE TRANSPORTATION CARRIER DURING DELIVERY WHILE THE REMAINING KEYS WILL BE PACKAGED IN A BAG MARKED "KEYS" AND STORED IN THE GLOVE BOX. REPLACEMENT KEYS FOR THE CATERA MUST BE ORDERED FROM SPO USING THE FOLLOWING PART NUMBERS: 90541902 FOR THE IGNITION/DOOR KEY, 90543895 FOR THE "EMERGENCY USE" LOCK OUT KEY.

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT A DEALERSHIP EMPLOYEE INSPECT ALL NEW 1998 VEHICLES FOR ALL KEYS AND THE GOLD KEY OWNER'S MANUAL PORTFOLIO PACKAGE. A COMPLETE GOLD KEY PACKAGE WHICH CAN BE FOUND IN THE TRUNK INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: OWNER MANUAL, WARRANTY BOOKLET, MAINTENANCE BOOKLET, PORTFOLIO, VIDEO (EXCEPT CATERA), NVI FORM, REGISTRATION KEY TAGS AND CONVENIENCE GUIDE. IN THE EVENT THE PACKAGE IS NOT PRESENT (MISSING), LACKING ONE OF THE ABOVE COMPONENTS (INCOMPLETE) AND/OR ANY OF THE DEVILLE OR ELDORADO KEYS ARE MISSING, THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES MUST BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO:

1. DELIVERY RECEIPT MUST BE CODED 98086 WITH A NOTATION "GOLD KEY MISSING" AND/OR DELIVERY RECEIPT MUST BE CODED 55086 WITH A NOTATION "GOLD KEY PACKAGING MISSING" OR "GOLD KEY PACKAGE MISSING COMPONENT".

2. REPLACEMENT PACKAGES AND/OR MATERIALS CAN BE OBTAINED FROM CADILLAC STATIONERY CONTROL BY CALLING 1-800-892-2000 AND ORDERING FROM THE FOLLOWING SELECTIONS:

3. SUBMIT A TRANSPORTATION CLAIM FOR MISSING PACKAGES, KEYS OR OTHER ITEMS PER THE PREVIOUS LIST IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER:

IMPORTANT:

EACH ORDER CARRIES A DROP SHIP AND HANDLING CHARGE AS WELL AS UPS/ POSTAGE CHARGES. THESE CHARGES MUST NOT BE INCLUDED ON THE TRANSPORTATION CLAIM. CREDIT FOR THESE CHARGES MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA A SEPARATE POSTAGE REIMBURSEMENT CLAIM (CLAIM TYPE F). REFER TO YOUR WINS CLAIMS PROCESSING MANUAL FOR COMPLETE PROCEDURES ON HOW TO SUBMIT A CLAIM FOR POSTAGE REIMBURSEMENT.

REQUESTS ASSOCIATED WITH MISSING, INCOMPLETE OR INCORRECT 1998 GOLD KEY PACKAGES SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO CADILLAC STATIONERY CONTROL. MATERIALS FOR TRANSPORTATION CLAIMS WILL BE BILLED TO DEALERS AT THE ABOVE PRICES. SUBMIT TRANSPORTATION CLAIMS FOR THESE AMOUNTS IN THE MANNER DESCRIBED IN THIS BULLETIN. VEHICLES SHIPPED WITH A COMPLETE GOLD KEY PACKAGE WHICH DOES NOT MATCH THE VEHICLE MODEL CONSTITUTES AN INCORRECT PACKAGE. INCORRECT PACKAGES WILL BE EXCHANGED WITH THE CORRECT PACKAGES AT NO CHARGE AND A POSTAL REIMBURSEMENT CLAIM SHOULD BE FILED NOT A TRANSPORTATION CLAIM. REPLACEMENT OF INDIVIDUAL VEHICLE AND OWNER INFORMATION LABELS MUST BE ORDERED THROUGH YOUR ZONE OFFICE.

OTHER REQUESTS TO PURCHASE COMPLETE GOLD KEY PACKAGES, CURRENT OR PAST MODELS, AND ANY OTHER LISTED ITEMS MAY BE DIRECTED TO CADILLAC STATIONERY CONTROL AND WILL BE BILLED TO YOUR OPEN PARTS ACCOUNT.
