Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 98413 Size: SH
  1. Remove the cable end cap from the transmission park/neutral position switch lever.
  2. Remove the cable from the bracket by prying on the lock button to the unlocked position.
  3. Remove the left closeout insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  4. Remove the console center trim panel. Refer to Console Front Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

  5. Remove the shift control cable from the floor shift assembly.

    6. Object Number: 98414 Size: SH
  6. Remove the cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 98414 Size: SH
  1. Install the shift control cable to the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 98412 Size: SH
  2. Install the cable end cap to the floor shift assembly.
  3. Install the console center trim panel. Refer to Console Front Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  4. Install the left closeout insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

    5. Object Number: 98413 Size: SH
  5. Install the cable into the retaining bracket. Push down on the locking tab.
  6. Install the cable end cap to the transmission position switch lever.
