Removal Procedure

    Notice: Use care when removing and installing the headliner. If reusing the headliner lay the headliner down flat on a clean surface. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.

  1. Remove the headliner in order to access the upper drain hose connections. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    2. Object Number: 655648 Size: SH
  2. Remove the tie straps and the drain hoses from the drain spouts on the sunroof module.
  3. Remove the interior window garnish moldings in order to access the front drain hose retaining clips. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.

    4. Object Number: 655652 Size: SH
  4. Remove the front drain hose (2) from the retaining clips (1) on the "A" pillar.
  5. Remove the IP upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  6. Remove the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.

  7. Disconnect the drain hose grommet from the inner wheel panel.
  8. Remove the front drain hose from the vehicle.
  9. Remove the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  10. Remove the tape from the drain hose.

  11. Remove the rear upper drain hose from the retaining clips.

  12. Remove the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  13. Remove the rear lower drain hose from the retaining clips.
  14. Remove the rear drain hose (2) from the floorpan.

Installation Procedure
  1. Secure the rear drain hose (2) into the floorpan.

    2. Object Number: 655646 Size: SH
  2. Clip the rear lower drain hose (1) into the retention clip.
  3. Install the drain hose through the rear shelf panel to the "C" pillar.
  4. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.

    5. Object Number: 655641 Size: SH
  5. Clip the rear upper drain hoses into position.
  6. Ensure the lower retention clip is 2 inches (B) below and rearward of the trim slot.
  7. Ensure the upper retention clip is 6 inches (A) above the lower retention clip.
  8. Apply new adhesive tape in 2 places, in order to secure the drain hose.

  9. Clip the front drain hose (1) into the retainer clips (1).

    Important: When installing the drain hose tie straps, position the tie straps in order to maintain clearance between the tie straps and the headliner.

  10. Install the drain hose to the drain spout.
  11. Secure the drain hose with the tie straps.

  12. Secure the drain hose and grommet into the inner wheel panel.
  13. Install the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  14. Install the IP upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    15. Notice: Use care when removing and installing the headliner. If reusing the headliner lay the headliner down flat on a clean surface. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.

  15. With the aid from an assistant, install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  16. Install the interior garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  17. Install the rear quarter trim panels. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
