Removal Procedure
- Remove the front carpet.

Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement
.
- Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
in Seats.
- Remove the carpeted rear floor mats.
- Use the J 38778
in
order to remove the 3 push in retainers securing the rear carpet to
the floorpan.
- Remove the rear carpet.
Installation Procedure
Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.
Caution: All floor pan insulator material must meet Federal Vehicle Safety Standards for flammability. Failure to do so could result in personal injury and/or vehicle damage.
- Position the rear floor
carpet to the floorpan.
- Make sure the electrical connectors are carefully pulled through
the openings at the center of the carpet.
- Ensure the wrinkles are removed from the carpet.
- Ensure the rear outside edges of the carpet is tucked under the
rear quarter upper trim panels.
- Install the 3 push in retainers at the rear of the carpeting
in order to secure the rear carpet to the floorpan.
- Install the carpeted rear floor mats.
- Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to
Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
in Seats.
- Install the front carpet. Refer to
Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement
