Oil Filter Adapter Assemble without Oil Cooler


    Object Number: 651262 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the bypass hole plug (1).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the bypass hole plug to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  2. Install the oil filter fitting (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter fitting to 29 N·m (21 lb ft).

  3. Install the oil pressure switch (3).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pressure switch to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  4. Install the NEW oil filter adapter O-rings (4).

  1. Install NEW oil cooler line connector fittings (1).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the oil cooler line connector fittings to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  2. Install the oil filter fitting (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter fitting to 29 N·m (21 lb ft).

  3. Install the oil pressure switch (4).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pressure switch to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  4. Install the NEW oil filter adapter O-rings (5).
  5. Install the oil cooler bypass valve (6).
  6. Install the NEW oil cooler bypass valve hole plug O-ring (7) onto the oil cooler bypass valve hole plug (8).
  7. Install the oil cooler bypass valve hole plug (8).

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the oil cooler bypass valve hole plug to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
