Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2002 🢒 Eldorado 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 4.6L 🢒 Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement - Right Side

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement .
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 604181 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolt securing the power steering return hose to the right engine mount strut bracket and position aside.

    4. Object Number: 723742 Size: SH
  4. Remove the nut securing the battery negative cable to the engine.
  5. Remove the bolt securing the top of the generator to the right engine mount strut bracket.

    6. Object Number: 522535 Size: SH
  6. Remove the 3 bolts securing the right engine mount strut bracket to the cylinder head.
  7. Remove the right engine mount strut bracket from the engine.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 522535 Size: SH
  1. Position the right engine mount strut bracket to the engine.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the 3 bolts securing the right engine mount strut bracket to the cylinder head.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the right engine mount strut bracket bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the bolt securing the top of the generator to the right engine mount strut bracket.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the generator mounting bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  4. Install the nut securing the battery negative cable to the engine.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the battery negative cable to engine nut to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the bolt securing the power steering return hose to the right engine mount strut bracket.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the power steering return hose bolt to 13 N·m (115 lb in).

  6. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  7. Install the engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement .
