J 37043 Parking Brake Cable Release

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Loosen the park brake adjuster nut.



3. Disconnect the intermediate park brake cable (2) from the park brake cable connector (1).



4. Disconnect the intermediate park brake cable (1) at the adjuster (2).
5. UsingJ 37043 to depress the intermediate park brake cable locking tabs.
6. Remove the intermediate park brake cable from the park brake cable support.
7. Remove the intermediate park brake cable from the right rear park brake cable connector.
8. Remove the intermediate park brake cable from the equalizer.

1. Install the intermediate park brake cable to the park brake cable support.
2. Install the intermediate park brake cable to the equalizer.
3. Install the intermediate park brake cable to the right rear park brake cable connector.



4. Connect the intermediate park brake cable (1) to the adjuster (2).



5. Connect the intermediate park brake cable (2) to the park brake cable connector (1).
6. Adjust the park brake cable Park Brake Adjustment .
