Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the front wheels to the right.
  2. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  4. Remove the 2 vacuum tank mounting screws (1).

  5. Object Number: 305041  Size: SH
  6. Remove the vacuum hose from the tank (3).
  7. Remove the vacuum tank (3).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the vacuum hose to the tank (3).
  2. Install the vacuum tank into position.

  3. Object Number: 305041  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Secure the vacuum tank (3) with the 2 screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws (1) to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
