the necessary inspections?

- Remove and inspect the Batt fuse.
- Reinstall or replace fuse.
- Depending on which retractor is having the malfunction, test either
RH or LH seat belt retractor actuator battery positive voltage circuit for
an open. Refer to
Circuit Testing
and
Wiring Repairs
in Wiring Systems.

- Disconnect the seat belt retractor connector.
- Using a test lamp test the seat belt retractor actuator connector
from battery positive voltage to ground circuit in actuator. Refer to
Circuit Testing

Wiring Repairs
in Wiring Systems.
- Open the door.
Does the test lamp illuminate?

- Disconnect the Front door lock actuator connector, on the side
of vehicle that is malfunctioning.
- Test the ground circuit for an open or high resistance that connects
seat belt retractor actuator and front door lock actuator. Refer to

- The front door lock actuator connector is still disconnected.
- Using a test lamp test the front door lock actuator connector
from battery positive voltage to ground circuit in actuator. Refer to
