Removal Procedure

  1. With a flat-bladed tool, gently pry open at the front of the roof console trim plate (1).
  2. Remove the console trim plate.
  3. Remove the fastener (2) at the center of the roof console.
  4. Using your index finger, release the garage door opener wiring from the front retainer clip in order to remove the console from the roof.
  5. Slide the roof console (3) rearward and downward from the locking tabs (4).

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector for the garage door opener (2) and sunroof switch (1) (if equipped).
  8. Remove the overhead console.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 443258  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connectors to the garage door opener and the sunroof switch (if equipped).
  2. Install the overhead console (3) into the headliner opening.
  3. Secure the garage door opener wire to the front retainer clip.
  4. Make sure the locking tabs (4) are properly positioned.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the fastener (2).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  8. Install the roof console trim plate (1) to the roof console (3).
  9. Gently push upward in order to lock the trim plate (1) to the roof console.
