Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 593242  Size: SH
  1. Remove the fasteners from the outboard bezel.
  2. Carefully pull down on the sunshade in order to expose the electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. Remove the sunshade.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 401809  Size: SH
  1. Install the fastener that retains the center receptacle (2). (if removed)
  2. Connect the electrical connector (3).
  3. Push the electrical connector and the wiring above the headliner.
  4. Position the sunshade outer bezel in place.
  5. Align the fastener holes.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: Do not pinch the wiring when you install the fasteners.

  7. Install the fasteners (2) that attach the bezel.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  9. Reposition the sunshade.
